About Me
Dr. Anthony Daniels is an ocular oncologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides specialized care for patients with eye cancers and retinal conditions. He sees patients throughout the Yale New Haven Health system, offering expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular oncology. His clinical approach integrates surgical precision with a focus on patient-centered care for complex eye diseases.
Previously, Dr. Daniels served as an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he was Chief of the Division of Ocular Oncology and Pathology and Program Director for the Ocular Oncology Fellowship. His training includes an ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School, complemented by additional tumor training at the Mayo Clinic and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
As a physician-scientist, Dr. Daniels is actively involved in research focused on drug discovery and development for adult and pediatric eye cancers. He has experience in clinical trial design and his laboratory models are used internationally, contributing to advancements in ocular oncology treatments.
