About Me
Dr. Ann Shue is a glaucoma specialist and adult strabismus surgeon who cares for patients across the lifespan at Stanford’s Byers Eye Institute and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. A Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine, she offers expertise at the intersection of glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, and adult strabismus—an uncommon combination that allows her to manage complex conditions with continuity.Dr. Shue earned her MD from the University of California, Irvine, completed an internal-medicine internship at UCSF Fresno, and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She then pursued subspecialty fellowships in glaucoma at Yale University and in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Duke University. She welcomes patients with glaucoma of any cause, cataracts, eye misalignment, and double vision, and believes in clear explanations, evidence-based options, and collaborative decisions tailored to each person’s goals.
