About Me
Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg is a glaucoma specialist and ophthalmologist who serves as Professor and Chair of Ophthalmology at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University. His clinical practice focuses on providing medical and surgical care for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and other conditions affecting the retina and optic nerve. He is also a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Goldberg’s research aims to develop new treatments for glaucoma and optic nerve diseases by exploring neuroprotection, regeneration, and innovative approaches such as stem cell and nanotherapies. He has been recognized with awards including the Scientist of the Year from Hope For Vision and the Cogan Award, and he leads an NIH-funded laboratory focused on translating scientific discoveries into patient care.
