About Me
Andrew Clingerman, MD, MPH, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Mankato Clinic Eye Care Center. He cares for adults and seniors with common and complex eye conditions, with special interest in glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic eye disease. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, comfortable pace and focus on shared decision-making. Dr. Clingerman offers routine and medical eye exams and coordinates in-office laser procedures when appropriate, working closely with the clinic’s optometry and surgical teams to streamline each step of care.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Clingerman earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville. He also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Pacific Lutheran University. He uses modern diagnostics to personalize treatment plans and partners with patients to protect vision over the long term.
