About Me
Dr. Andrea Prosser is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia. She provides comprehensive eye care for children, including the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, refractive error, strabismus, and anterior segment diseases, as well as diabetic retinopathy screening. She performs cataract surgery, laser procedures, glaucoma surgery, and strabismus surgery.
Dr. Prosser graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she received Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Georgia Health Sciences University, where she served as chief resident and conducted glaucoma research. After residency, she practiced in the department for a year and worked as a pediatric ophthalmology hospitalist in the Midwest for two years before returning to the Medical College of Georgia in the summer of 2015.
