Dr. Amy Zimmerman

Dr. Amy Zimmerman is a third-generation ophthalmologist with over 23 years of experience, specializing in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology. She is inspired by her father and grandfather, who also dedicated their careers to restoring sight. Dr. Zimmerman provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on cataracts, advanced cataract surgery, and clear lens exchange, helping patients achieve clearer vision and improved quality of life. She sees patients at her Rosedale office and performs surgery at the Dulaney Eye Institute in Towson.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Zimmerman is actively involved in medical education. She heads the ophthalmology rotation for family medicine residents at Franklin Square and lectures to physician assistant students. She also serves as an ophthalmology consultant at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital Center and Genesis Eldercare.
