About Me
Dr. Amit Vora is a specialist in cornea and refractive surgery at Eye Physicians of Sussex County. He is skilled in a wide range of procedures including cataract surgery, complex cataract surgery, cornea transplants, intraocular lens surgery and repositioning, refractive surgery, and managing dry eye and cornea pathology. His comprehensive approach ensures patients receive tailored care for both common and complex eye conditions.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Vora completed his clinical and surgical fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. He earned his M.D. with distinction in research from Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and also holds an MBA from Rutgers. His dedication to advancing eye care is reflected in his research at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health and his role as chief resident at William Beaumont Hospital.
Dr. Vora is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has volunteered with Kenya Relief, providing eye care to hundreds of patients in rural Kenya. His commitment to both clinical excellence and global health demonstrates his dedication to improving vision and quality of life for his patients.
