Dr. Amarjit Atwal

Dr. Amar Atwal is the founder and Medical Director of Atwal Eye Care and Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center, a New York State and Medicare approved facility. He specializes in laser eye surgery, including LASIK and PRK, and has performed over 75,000 cataract and refractive surgery procedures. Dr. Atwal began his work in refractive procedures in 1986 and later opened an excimer laser facility at his Cheektowaga office in 1996. He also offers no-stitch incision cataract surgery with premium multifocal intraocular lenses, as well as glaucoma treatment and surgery and other laser procedures.

Dr. Atwal earned his medical degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, and completed an internship at Mercy Hospital. He opened his practice in western New York in 1980 and currently sees patients at his 3095 Harlem Road office in Cheektowaga, where he provides comprehensive eye care.
