About Me
Dr. Amalia Miranda is an ophthalmologist who earned her medical degree from the University of Seville in 1978 and completed her residency training there in 1982. After moving to Oklahoma City in 1983, she joined the Corneal Research group at the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute and was appointed to its faculty in 1985, also serving as director of the Low Vision Clinic.
Since 1993, Dr. Miranda has been practicing at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she provides general ophthalmology care with a focus on glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, and other ocular conditions. She is a past president of the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology and serves as a counselor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology for the state of Oklahoma. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Miranda is active in civic and philanthropic causes in Oklahoma City, including serving as a trustee at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
