Dr. Alia Durrani

Dr. Alia K. Durrani is a retina specialist who focuses on diseases of the retina and vitreous that can threaten vision. She cares for patients with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, and retinal vascular disease, and she also performs complex intraocular lens surgery when needed.

Dr. Durrani earned an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and completed medical school at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. She trained in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and completed vitreoretinal surgical training at Vanderbilt Eye Institute.

She is board certified and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Durrani emphasizes careful imaging review, clear explanations, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals.
