About Me

Alexandria Chaulk, MD, is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon who treats the full spectrum of macular and retinal disease. She cares for patients with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and edema, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and complications such as persistent floaters. Dr. Chaulk also performs secondary intraocular lens implantation when support inside the eye is limited and provides urgent evaluation for retinal emergencies.

A Fort Worth native, Dr. Chaulk graduated with highest distinction from the University of Virginia, earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern, and completed internship at John Peter Smith Hospital. She then trained in ophthalmology at UTHealth Houston before a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at UAB/Retina Consultants of Alabama. She has published in peer-reviewed venues and taught courses at national meetings, and she brings that same teaching mindset to clinic—explaining diagnoses, imaging, and procedure choices in clear, practical terms. Outside of work, she volunteers on international surgical missions and enjoys fitness, baking, and travel.
