Dr. Alexandra May

Dr. Alexandra May is an ophthalmologist with broad training across clinical care and vision science. She studied Brain and Cognitive Science at MIT, earned a master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, and received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. May provides comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on clear communication and shared decision-making. She evaluates and treats common and complex conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration, and she helps patients choose advanced lens options when appropriate.
