Dr. Alexander Voldman

Dr. Alexander E. Voldman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He specializes in refractive cataract surgery with advanced technology intraocular lenses (IOLs), laser astigmatism treatment, and complex lens replacement including scleral-fixated implants. He also manages corneal disease with modern transplant techniques (DMEK, DSAEK, PK) and offers PRK and LASIK for vision correction. Dr. Voldman enjoys partnering with patients to tailor options to their goals and lifestyle, emphasizing safety, precision, and clear communication.Dr. Voldman completed a cornea, cataract, and refractive fellowship at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under Drs. John Seedor and David Ritterband after ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University. He earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated magna cum laude from Baruch College. Originally from Latvia and raised in New York, he now calls Connecticut home and provides multilingual care in Russian and Spanish.
