About Me
Dr. Maryam Tahvildari is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in cornea and anterior segment conditions. Her clinical expertise includes corneal transplantation, refractive surgery, and the management of autoimmune uveitis, infectious keratitis, and other corneal diseases. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care with a focus on the latest surgical techniques and personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Tahvildari completed her medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and then pursued advanced training in the United States. She undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Harvard Medical School, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute and a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School. Her research interests include the immunobiology of corneal transplantation and innovative therapies for corneal healing. She is committed to delivering the highest quality patient care while mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists.
