About Me
Dr. Jessica Chow is an ophthalmologist who cares for patients at the Yale Eye Center. She serves as the director of the Cornea and External Disease Service for Yale Medicine. Dr. Chow finds profound reward in positively impacting patients' quality of life through vision care and values the long-term relationships developed through treating eye conditions.
Dr. Chow treats a wide range of eye problems, from simple to complex. She performs both routine and complex cataract surgery and has extensive experience with corneal transplants, including penetrating keratoplasty where the entire corneal thickness is replaced with donor tissue. She also offers Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), a partial thickness corneal transplant that provides superior visual outcomes compared to other endothelial transplant techniques.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chow is an associate professor of ophthalmology at Yale School of Medicine. She holds leadership roles in medical education as Residency Director and Vice Chair of Education for Ophthalmology & Visual Science.
