About Me
Dr. Alessandro Castellarin is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who has been recognized as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. His clinical practice focuses on providing comprehensive medical and surgical retina care, and he has served as a principal investigator for numerous national clinical trials.
Dr. Castellarin completed his vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory University after extensive ophthalmology training in Italy and the United States. His training includes a general surgery internship and multiple ophthalmology residencies, where he was honored with the Alfonse Cinotti Award for academic and professional excellence. Dr. Castellarin is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
