About Me
Dr. Aleksey I. Mishulin is an ophthalmologist specializing in complex and refractive cataract surgery, LASIK, and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. He combines advanced technology with a practical, step-by-step approach to help patients choose the option that best fits their vision, lifestyle, and recovery goals. He also provides comprehensive eye care and enjoys educating patients about what to expect before and after surgery.
Dr. Mishulin earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. He teaches residents and fellows as an Associate Professor at Wayne State University, with interests that include refractive surgery, premium intraocular lenses, and high-resolution ophthalmic imaging. Dr. Mishulin was among the first in Michigan to be named a Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences and was part of its inaugural group of surgeons board-certified in refractive surgery. He also participates in international surgical outreach, helping restore sight for patients with limited access to care.
