Dr. Alain Bauza

Dr. Alain Bauza is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care and surgical services to patients in the Eatontown and Brick areas. He is a New Jersey native and completed his ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Bauza is fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows him to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.

Dr. Bauza has a particular interest in cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, dry eye disease, macular degeneration and diabetic screening, and glaucoma management. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, which helps him stay current with the latest advancements in eye care.

As a first-generation Cuban American and the first in his family to earn a medical degree, Dr. Bauza is dedicated to serving his patients with understanding and respect. He values patient education and ensures that each individual is fully informed about their eye health and treatment options.
