Dr. Akhila Alapati

Dr. Akhila N. Alapati is a uveitis and comprehensive ophthalmology specialist who cares for patients of all ages. She focuses on diagnosing and treating ocular inflammation with a careful, stepwise approach that prioritizes vision preservation and comfort. At The University of Kansas Health System Eye Center, Dr. Alapati partners with a multidisciplinary team so patients can access advanced imaging, medical therapies and surgery when needed. After medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont, she completed internship at Henry Ford, ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas, and a fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
