About Me
Dr. Adrian Dokey is an ophthalmologist who is very happy to be a part of the excellent team of doctors at Kaiser Permanente, and he looks forward to providing patients with the best care possible. A native of Northern California, he grew up as a Kaiser Permanente patient in Sacramento. After graduating from UC Berkeley and medical school at Johns Hopkins University, he returned to the Bay Area for an internship at Kaiser Permanente and an ophthalmology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He recently completed a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University and is excited to share his knowledge with patients and colleagues in the East Bay.
Dr. Dokey enjoys the variety of a general and comprehensive ophthalmology practice, managing many common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. His particular areas of interest include cataract surgery and the management of less common conditions affecting the cornea, including infections, dystrophies, and other ocular surface disease. He can understand conversational Spanish, in addition to English, to help patients feel comfortable. Outside of the office, he spends time staying active by running, playing basketball, rock climbing, and hiking, and he also enjoys cooking, exploring local restaurants, and curling up with a good book or movie.
