About Me
Dr. Zenia Aguilera is a highly honored pediatric ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience. She helps patients from newborns to seniors, treating surgical conditions such as lazy eye, droopy eyelids, and cataracts, as well as providing relief from chronic conditions like dry eye, glaucoma, and vision issues caused by diabetes. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, strabismus surgery, and amblyopia treatment.
Dr. Aguilera is double board certified in Ophthalmology and Pediatrics. In addition to her private practice at the Eye Hope Clinic, she maintains surgical privileges at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and serves as a voluntary pediatric ophthalmology clinical assistant professor at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
