About Me
Dr. Zahir U Sheikh is a neuro-ophthalmologist and neurologist who specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex conditions affecting the visual system and the nervous system. His clinical expertise encompasses neuro-ophthalmic disorders such as double vision, optic neuritis, and papilledema, as well as neuromuscular conditions like myasthenia gravis. Dr. Sheikh is committed to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care and views himself, his patients, and their support systems as members of the same team.
Dr. Sheikh completed his medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by an internship and residency in neurology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center and in neuro-ophthalmology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Sheikh sees adult patients at the Overlake Neuroscience Institute in Bellevue, Washington.
