About Me
Dr. Zach Skurski is a board-certified ophthalmologist based in the Washington, DC metro area, specializing in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. He founded Vision 101 as a go-to source for news and information about vision, ocular health, eyecare, and eye surgery, dedicated to bringing patients the latest developments in eye health.
In his career, Dr. Skurski has developed expertise through training at Johns Hopkins University and Walter Reed Military Medical Center, alongside service in the US Army Medical Corps. He currently serves as Chief of Ophthalmology and Medical Director of the Warfighter Refractive Surgery Program and Research Center at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and holds academic appointments as Assistant Program Director for the Ophthalmology Residency at the National Capital Consortium and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University.
