Dr. Zachary Poole

Dr. Zachary B. Poole is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon serving patients at Poole Eyecare. A third-generation eye doctor in a family practice that has cared for the Clover area for decades, he provides routine and medical eye exams, cataract evaluation and surgery, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease management, and urgent eye care. Patients appreciate his approachable style, clear explanations, and emphasis on practical, personalized plans.

Dr. Poole completed a biochemistry degree (with a minor in Scandinavian studies) at Brigham Young University, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, and finished ophthalmology residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He also completed a research fellowship focused on dry eye at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. Outside of work he enjoys time with his family, exploring local restaurants, and watching Charlotte FC and the Carolina Panthers.
