About Me
Dr. Zaaira M. Ahmad is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and macula. She provides expert care for complex clinical and surgical cases, including complicated retinal detachments and severe diabetic retinopathy. Patients can expect comprehensive management of retinal conditions using advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques.
Dr. Ahmad completed her ophthalmology residency at The George Washington University, where she served as Chief Resident. She further honed her expertise through subspecialty training in vitreoretinal surgery at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute. In addition to her clinical practice, she remains active in teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Temple University School of Medicine and contributes to research presented at national meetings.
