About Me
Dr. Paul Lagonigro is a vitreoretinal specialist at Atlantic Retina Center, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care for retinal, macular, and vitreous disorders. Vitreoretinal specialists like Dr. Lagonigro undergo extensive training, including a one-year medical internship, a three-year ophthalmology residency, and additional fellowship training.
He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and focuses on treating macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal tears, eye trauma, and retinal vascular occlusions. Dr. Lagonigro completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Eye Specialty Group – VitreoRetinal Foundation in Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and holds membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society.
