About Me
Dr. Yannis Mantas Paulus is a vitreoretinal surgeon and the Jonas Fridenwald Professor in Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of retina and vitreous diseases, with a focus on conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
His extensive research has led to the development of innovative imaging systems and laser therapies that allow for early diagnosis and personalized treatment plans. Dr. Paulus has nearly a decade of experience directing a research laboratory where he advanced nanotechnologies for improved patient care.
Dr. Paulus completed his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Stanford University, followed by a surgical and medical retina fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He is committed to translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice and is currently accepting new patients.
