About Me
Dr. Benjamin Kunz completed his medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, graduating in 2010. During medical school, he engaged in ocular research and co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles with leading experts in the field.
He pursued advanced training through an ophthalmology residency at the Ross Eye Institute, SUNY University at Buffalo, where he served as chief resident and received the Most Outstanding Resident award. His residency involved presenting research on ocular surface disease, corneal infections, and refractive surgery at national meetings.
Dr. Kunz further specialized with a fellowship in Corneal and External Disease at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, University of Oklahoma. There, he performed hundreds of surgeries, including the latest corneal endothelial transplantation (DMEK), and studied factors affecting graft success. He now offers comprehensive eye care, specializing in laser vision correction, cataract surgery with advanced intraocular lens implants for astigmatism and near vision, and various cornea transplantation techniques to help patients achieve better vision with reduced dependence on glasses.
