About Me
Dr. Valli Muthappan is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who practices the latest techniques in cataract and corneal diseases and surgery. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. A native of Murrysville, PA, she returned to the area in 2014 and started Cataract and Eye Consultants in 2017. She has performed over 4,000 eye surgeries, published papers in the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Cornea, and Clinical Ophthalmology, and received recognition for her presentations in the US and abroad.
In her free time, she likes to go running and hiking. She and her husband have two young children who keep them busy as well!
