About Me
Dr. Thomas L. Dahl is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care at The Eye Surgery Center of Oak Ridge. He joined the practice in 2010 after serving seven years in the U.S. Air Force, where he gained extensive experience treating ocular trauma and performing surgical procedures.
An Oak Ridge native, Dr. Dahl completed his medical degree at James H. Quillen College of Medicine and finished his ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Dahl also served as the only military ophthalmologist in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, performing over 300 trauma surgeries. He currently sees patients in Oak Ridge and is affiliated with Methodist Medical Center.
