Dr. Theodor Sauer
About Me
Dr. Theodor Sauer is an ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery and the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He focuses on preventing vision loss and improving quality of life for people living with glaucoma, cataracts, and related eye conditions.
After graduating with honors from Duke University and earning his medical degree there, Dr. Sauer completed internship training at Lenox Hill Hospital, ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, and a glaucoma fellowship at Tufts New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He also completed a master's degree in public health at Johns Hopkins University as a Sommer Scholar.
Dr. Sauer combines up-to-date techniques with a calm, collaborative approach, tailoring plans to each patient's goals and comfort. He is involved in clinical research and the education of trainees, and he values clear communication at every visit.
