Dr. Susan Relf

Dr. Susan J. Relf is a board-certified ophthalmologist caring for patients in the Duluth and Hermantown areas. With over three decades of experience since beginning her practice in Duluth in 1992, she founded Relf EyeCare Specialists to provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Dr. Relf diagnoses and treats a wide range of eye conditions, with particular expertise in cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. She is dedicated to helping patients understand their eye health and actively participate in their care.

Dr. Relf believes that the best outcomes come from a partnership between doctor and patient. She takes time to educate her patients about their conditions and treatment options, ensuring they feel informed and empowered. Her surgical skills allow her to perform delicate eye procedures that can significantly improve vision and quality of life. Patients of all ages are welcome, and Dr. Relf values the long-term relationships she builds with the families she serves.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Relf is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota, where she helps train the next generation of eye doctors.
