Dr. Sung Choe

Dr. Sung Choe is an ophthalmologist who has been with The Permanente Medical Group since 2001. He completed his medical education at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and remained in the city for his ophthalmology residency at Temple University. His undergraduate degree in biology was earned at Princeton University.

Dr. Choe works within a collaborative team of ophthalmology specialists, including experts in comprehensive ophthalmology, oculoplastics, glaucoma, and retina. This team-based approach allows him to coordinate care and ensure patients receive comprehensive treatment for a wide range of eye conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Choe is married and has a young daughter. He enjoys staying active through biking, surfing, and golfing whenever his schedule allows. He understands the importance of balancing health with an active lifestyle and brings this perspective to his patient care.
