About Me
Dr. Sudhi P. Kurup is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where he serves as the Ophthalmology Residency Site Director and an attending physician. He is also an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Kurup has dedicated his career to pediatric medicine, believing that compassionate and appropriate care can have a lifelong positive impact on his young patients.
With a strong interest in medical education, Dr. Kurup takes the time to explain conditions and treatments to patients and their families, ensuring they understand and can actively participate in their care. His clinical interests include a wide range of pediatric eye conditions, such as strabismus, pediatric cataracts, tear duct abnormalities, retinoblastoma, and uveitis. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care, whether in person or through virtual visits.
Dr. Kurup completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School and then pursued specialized training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Lurie Children's Hospital. He is board certified in ophthalmology and actively participates in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
