About Me
Dr. Schuman is a retinal ophthalmologist who cares for adults with a range of retinal conditions. She completed her fellowship in retina at Duke and joined the faculty to provide specialized eye care. Her approach focuses on clearly explaining each patient's retinal condition and answering their questions.
Dr. Schuman and her team use the latest imaging technology to diagnose and manage retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and medication-related retinal toxicity. She works with patients to review all available treatment options, incorporating the most current advancements in retina care.
Dr. Schuman is board certified in ophthalmology and serves as an associate professor of ophthalmology at Duke. She sees patients at Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina.
