Dr. Stacy Story

Dr. Stacy Story is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined Eye Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia in 2016. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Palmetto Health and University of South Carolina program, where she served as Chief Resident for her final two years. Dr. Story earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and also completed an internship in internal medicine there. She grew up in Lancaster, South Carolina, as the daughter of two ophthalmologists, and completed her undergraduate studies at Furman University.

Dr. Story is actively involved in professional leadership, currently serving her second two-year term as president of the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology. In this role, she advocates for patient safety and access to quality eye care for all South Carolina residents. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology, and the South Carolina Medical Association.

In her personal time, Dr. Story enjoys working in her yard, tackling home projects, and spending time with friends and family. She is also active in her local church, where she teaches Sunday school and sings in the choir.
