About Me
Dr. Siya Huo is an ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in medical retina. She serves as an assistant professor at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System and is affiliated with the University of Minnesota’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences. After earning her Doctor of Medicine with Special Qualifications in Biomedical Research at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, she completed a transitional year internship at the University of Chicago (NorthShore) and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Huo’s work focuses on conditions affecting the retina and macula, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration and inherited retinal disease such as retinitis pigmentosa. She has published on anti-VEGF treatment strategies for persistent macular fluid and on using advanced optical coherence tomography imaging to evaluate choroidal changes. Patients can expect a careful, evidence-based approach that emphasizes accurate diagnosis, clear communication, and treatment plans tailored to individual goals.
