Dr. Simra Ahmed

Dr. Simra Ahmed is a resident physician in the Ophthalmology residency program at the University of Louisville Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She is currently training to become a comprehensive ophthalmologist, gaining hands-on experience in surgical and clinical eye care.

Originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Dr. Ahmed is a dedicated Louisville Cardinal, having completed both her undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Louisville. She chose to continue her training at UofL due to the program's emphasis on surgical experience, its hands-on approach, the supportive community, and the success of past residents in becoming independent and confident ophthalmologists.

Outside of her medical responsibilities, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new dining experiences and reviewing them on her foodstagram, traveling to new destinations, and planning adventurous activities such as skiing and scuba diving. Her commitment to patient care is rooted in her passion for ophthalmology and her desire to provide excellent eye health services.
