Dr. Shirley Middleton

Dr. Shirley Middleton was a board-certified ophthalmologist who served the Washington, DC, community for over 40 years. She provided comprehensive eye care with expertise in treating glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eyes, cataracts, macular degeneration, floaters, and other eye conditions. Dr. Middleton was known for her compassionate approach and was recognized as a Washingtonian Top Doctor and by Vitals for Compassionate Doctor Recognition.

Dr. Middleton completed her medical education and training at Howard University College of Medicine, where she also finished her residency and internship. She was board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and was a member of the Medical Society of the District of Columbia.

After a long and distinguished career, Dr. Middleton retired from clinical practice on December 31, 2024. Her dedication to patient care and her contributions to the field of ophthalmology will be remembered by her patients and colleagues.
