Dr. Shirin Barez

Dr. Shirin Barez is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist practicing in the Bay Area. She provides expert care for retinal conditions, with extensive experience in the treatment of macular degeneration, vitreoretinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal vascular diseases.

Dr. Barez is dedicated to leading-edge research to improve the early detection of diabetic retinopathy and has published numerous scientific papers. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.
