Dr. Shima Dehghani Ahmadabad

Dr. Shima Dehghani Ahmadabad is an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease. She completed a dedicated uveitis fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, following ophthalmology residency at Farabi Eye Hospital and medical school at Shahid Beheshti. Her focus is diagnosing and treating complex intraocular inflammation across the spectrum of anterior, intermediate, and posterior uveitis.

Dr. Dehghani cares for patients with autoimmune retinopathies and infectious retinitis, and she is experienced with steroid-sparing immunomodulatory therapies when indicated. She contributes to education through Bascom Palmer Grand Rounds presentations on topics such as non-paraneoplastic autoimmune retinopathy and Bartonella retinitis. In every visit she pairs careful examination and imaging with plain-language counseling and close coordination with your other physicians, aiming to control inflammation, protect vision, and improve quality of life.
