Dr. Shawno May

Dr. Shawno E. May is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Richens Eye Center who specializes in the medical and surgical management of a wide range of eye conditions. His primary surgical interests include corneal and refractive surgery such as LASIK, as well as cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and eyelid procedures.

Dr. May brings extensive training and experience to his practice. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and earned his medical degree from Tulane University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Over the course of his career, he has held academic appointments as an assistant professor and has served in key leadership roles within the military medical system. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive eye care to patients in the St. George area.
