About Me
Dr. Kent Karren is a board-certified ophthalmology surgeon who treats medical and surgical diseases of the eye. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the University of Utah and his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. After medical school, he completed an internship and residency at Letterman Army Medical Center. Dr. Karren served as an ophthalmologist in the United States Army Medical Corps and later as a staff ophthalmologist at Madigan Army Medical Center.
He also held leadership roles as Vice President at The Eye Center and Medical Director at the Oregon Eye Surgery Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. With extensive experience in both surgical and medical management of eye diseases, Dr. Karren provides comprehensive care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. Currently, he sees patients at Richens Eye Center in St. George, Utah.
