Dr. Shaun Ittiara

Dr. Shaun Ittiara is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist, providing medical and surgical care for diseases of the retina and vitreous. He has held significant leadership positions, including former Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, and remains actively involved in training the next generation of specialists.

Dr. Ittiara serves as a Clinical Associate at the University of Chicago and teaches as a Clinical/Surgical instructor for the accredited University of Chicago Vitreoretinal Fellowship training program. He also contributes as a Clinical Faculty in Advanced Care at the Illinois Eye Institute. His practice focuses on diagnosing and managing complex retinal conditions to help preserve and improve patients' vision.
