Dr. Shane Havens

Dr. Shane Havens is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and the region’s preeminent glaucoma specialist. He provides expert diagnosis and management of glaucoma and other eye conditions, offering advanced treatments to preserve vision.

Dr. Havens earned his medical degree at Creighton University, completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and pursued a Glaucoma Fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. This specialized training ensures he is equipped to handle complex eye diseases with the latest techniques.

As an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he is actively involved in research focused on cataract and glaucoma, contributing to advancements in eye care. Dr. Havens is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care to his patients. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
