About Me
Dr. Khani is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders. He provides care for patients with conditions such as retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. As a retina specialist, he offers both routine and complex treatments for these conditions.
Dr. Khani completed his medical and doctoral training at the University of Michigan, followed by ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in molecular genetics at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School and vitreoretinal surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Prior to establishing his practice in the Boston North Shore area, Dr. Khani served as director of retina services at the State University of New York in Buffalo. He is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and conducts research on new therapies for retinal degenerations at the Schepens Eye Research Institute.
