Dr. Ryan Fante

Martha Ryan, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Vantage Eye Center who focuses on cataract and anterior segment surgery delivered with clear communication and a calm, patient-first approach. A Bay Area native, she earned her medical degree at Emory University and completed ophthalmology residency at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where she deepened her interest in sight-restoring procedures and global eye care. Her practice includes advanced techniques such as manual small incision cataract surgery (MSICS) and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), tailored to each patient’s goals. Before medical training, Dr. Ryan studied chemical engineering with a biomedical engineering minor at Carnegie Mellon University and served in AmeriCorps. She has presented research nationally and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical outcomes. Outside the clinic, she stays active on the Central Coast with hiking and time outdoors with family. Dr. Eubee Baughn Koo is a board-certified ophthalmologist at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford Health Care and a clinical assistant professor in Stanford's Department of Ophthalmology. She provides comprehensive eye care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, chalazia, and eyelid lesions. Dr. Koo offers both office-based and surgical treatments--including cataract surgery and laser procedures--and builds personalized care plans that prioritize safety, clarity, and comfort at every step. In addition to her clinical practice, she teaches medical students and residents across clinic, OR, and inpatient settings, and she contributes to research and invited presentations in ophthalmology. Her training includes residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and medical education at Harvard Medical School. Patients appreciate her down-to-earth explanations and collaborative approach to decision-making.

Paul S. Micevych, MD, is an ophthalmologist at the John A. Moran Eye Center who cares for adults with medical and surgical diseases of the retina. He treats common and complex problems such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachments, and complications that affect vision after other eye surgeries. Dr. Micevych believes in clear explanations, shared decision-making, and tailoring treatment and follow-up to each patient’s goals and daily life. He completed ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco after earning his medical degree at Northwestern University. Before joining the Moran team, he contributed to research using advanced retinal imaging to better understand inherited and inflammatory retinal disorders, work that helps him translate the latest evidence into practical, compassionate care in clinic and the operating room. New patients and referring doctors can expect timely communication, coordinated care with their optometrists and primary physicians, and a steady focus on preserving and improving sight.
