Dr. Russell Fumuso

Dr. Russell G. Fumuso is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in laser cataract surgery, premium lens implantation, and comprehensive ophthalmology. He provides care for a range of eye conditions including cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and primary vision care needs.

Dr. Fumuso earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and completed residencies in internal medicine at Kings County Medical Center and ophthalmology at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He also volunteered in India performing cataract surgeries for underserved populations. He has served on the faculty at SUNY Downstate and currently serves as an attending ophthalmologist at Mercy Medical Center and North Shore University Hospitals.

As a founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI), Dr. Fumuso brings extensive experience in comprehensive eye care to his patients.
