Dr. Robert Meek

Dr. Robert S. Meek is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at The Jackson Clinic who provides medical and surgical eye care for adults of all ages. He completed medical school at UTHSC College of Medicine in Memphis, followed by an internship at Methodist University Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the Hamilton Eye Institute, where he trained in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of eye diseases.

Dr. Meek offers routine eye exams as well as care for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and urgent eye problems. He emphasizes patient education, using imaging and models to help people understand what is happening in their eyes and what to expect before and after surgery. His goal is to combine up-to-date clinical knowledge with a calm, personable approach, so patients feel supported throughout their care, whether they need new glasses or a complex surgical procedure.
