About Me
Dr. Robert Zendler II is an ophthalmologist with specialized fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology. He graduated from Hope College and completed his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at Flint Osteopathic Hospital and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Michigan State University.
His training provides him with extensive experience in treating a wide range of eye conditions and performing surgical procedures, including cataract, refractive, and glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Zendler also has specific expertise in the management of neuro-visual disorders, addressing complex conditions at the intersection of neurology and vision.
Dr. Zendler is board certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves as a clinical professor in the department of neurology and ophthalmology at Michigan State University and continues to train residents and medical students, having previously directed the ophthalmology residency program at Ascension Genesys Regional Medical Center for thirty years.
